The vision of the Mystic Link Trail is to bring awareness of historical, cultural and recreational green spaces between the Merrimack Valley and Boston. We encourage conservation and preservation of green spaces.

Mystic Link Trail brief history  

  • 20+ years ago local trail pioneer, Al French, envisioned and walked a spur from the BCT (Bay Circuit Trail) in Andover to Boston 
  • In May 2023, Al gathered a group to kick off this project
  • Discovered a route from the Bay Circuit Trail in Andover to the Tri-Community Greenway and Mystic River Greenway to Boston
  • The Mystic Link Trail is a thirty mile connection (as the crow flies) from the BCT in Andover to Boston.
