Burlington

Burlington is a town with important open spaces that can link to the Mystic Link Trail.

One such area is Mary Cummings Park with over 200 acres of wetlands, forest, and meadows.

The land around the Mill Pond Reservoir also connects to Wilmington, which is another town near the Mystic Link main trail.

Mary Cummings has extensive wildflower and grassy meadows, which is unusual; the wildflowers stands can be huge in summer. In addition there is a large wetland with walkways, a boardwalk over one large area, plus many kinds of mature forest.

The website for the Friends of Mary Cummings Park, the 501c(3) non-profit that works to protect and enhance the magnificent property left by Mary Cummings in 1930 “…to be forever open as a public pleasure ground."
