The large bandstand is the best known symbol of the lake.
There is lots of space for volleyball and other sports.
Look for playground equipment at various sites around the lake.
There are paths – almost – all the way around the lake.
You can get to the shore in many places, though it is not a swimming lake.
But yes, you can fish!
Find picnic tables and benches along the paths.

In some places the view of of the lake is is quite natural.
There are large parking areas in some spots.
Lots of ducks and geese, although feeding them is discouraged.
Some paths are quite close to the roads.
Sunsets are always worth a look at this lake.
A sign dedicated to an advocate for open space.
This is not a wilderness hike, but a lovely walk around a lake and most if not all of the walk is wheelchair friendly. The Lake is like the jewel of Wakefield.
