Goldsmith Woodlands, Foster’s Pond, Wilkinson Reservation

There is a series of lovely ponds throughout this area.

Some areas are very well marked!

Look for a large kiosk near entrance right off Route 28.

There are inner areas that are semi-marked off, but just to keep motorized vehicles out.

This is far over at the Foster's Pond end, away from Goldsmith proper.

There are great sights even on a foggy winter day.

Look for picnic tables overlooking ponds.

Lots of tall pine forests overhead.

Hardwoods framing a view of the pine woods.

Stone walls tell us this was also farmland many years ago.

Lots of good trail signs in these woods.

There is a lot to see in this rich environment of forest, wetland, and open water, with many boardwalks.
